History
Keno, a game similar to the giant state or provincially run lotteries, is easy to play and one of the most popular games in any casino. The game of keno was first introduced in China in 187 BC by the head of state, Cheung Heung, and involved the selection of 10 out of 120 Chinese characters.
This new form of lottery was created to recover funds for his government, and may also have been used to help fund the Great Wall. The game was brought to the US in the mid 1800's when thousands of Chinese immigrants came to work in the mines and on the railroad.

GAME PLAY
To start playing, the player selects one of the four ticket types. The different ways to bet on a Keno ticket are discussed below. Having selected the type of ticket, the player either has to mark which spots he chooses (STRAIGHT and SWEET SIXTEEN ticket types) or immediately (TOP & BOTTOM and THE EDGE ticket types) confirm his selection by pressing SUBMIT button. To add more tickets to the game use ADD TICKET button. Up to 20 tickets can be played at a time. When all required tickets are added, press the PLAY GAME button.

After the game is finished, the player may review the individual ticket results by using the blue arrows on the right-hand side. The player may choose to stay with the same spots for the next game (by clicking on REPEAT BET button) or pick new spots on the ticket(s).

PLAYING OPTIONS
  • STRAIGHT TICKET
The more correct numbers picked - the higher the payoff. Tickets may be played with 1 through 15 marked spots. Each ticket offers three different values and payoff options. Selection is made by pressing A for $1, B for $5 or C for $10 located in the bottom right hand corner of the game. The payoffs are shown in the table on the left-hand side.
  • TOP & BOTTOM
This ticket doesn't require spots to be marked. The player is betting that top or bottom part of the ticket will have fewer spots than the opposite part. The payoff depends on how great that difference is.
  • EDGE
This ticket doesn't require spots to be marked. 36 spots on the edges of the ticket are automatically selected. The amount won depends on the amount of matched numbers.
  • T SIXTEEN
This ticket costs $3 and requires 16 spots to be selected by the player. It is similar to the STRAIGHT TICKET but doesn't offer different valued tickets. Another difference is that the payoff doesn't increase in direct proportion to the number of matches. With all 16 numbers selected, the payoff is shown in the table on the left-hand side.
